On Tues, April 23, 2018, the International Museum of Muslim Cultures held a press conference for the upcoming national exhibit of “Muslims with Christians & Jews: An Exhibition of Covenants and Coexistence” in Jackson, MS. On Tues, April 23, 2019, the International Museum of Muslim Cultures held a press conference for the upcoming national exhibit of “Muslims with Christians & Jews: An Exhibition of Covenants and Coexistence” in Jackson, MS. After the opening on June 28, 2019, and remaining here through February 2020, the exhibit will travel to six metropolitan cities: Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Los Angeles, Detroit, New York City and Atlanta. With the brief sighting of the crescent moon of the first of #Ramadan on Sunday evening, we open our hearts to the peerless blessings of this sacred month of fasting and special night prayers. We welcome this extraordinary period when, according to hadist, the gates of Heaven are opened wide and good deeds accrue exceptional merit. The Quran describes this month as when the Holy Book was revealed, reminding us that it was during this month that the Prophet Muhammad (may Allah whelm him in blessings and peace) received his first revelations as taught to him by the Angel Gabriel (upon whom be peace).
